Message from President Ikeda: Minneapolis Bridge Incident

Dear Members:
Today I watched on CNN the tragic incident of the Minneaspolis Bridge collapse and immediately contacted the Central Territory leaders to check on the members living in the Minneapolis area. So far we do not know of any members involved in this incident, however, our prayers go out to all those affected. I immediately reported all the details to Sensei and he responded immediately as follows:

“I, too, watched the news and worried about the incident of the Mineapolis Bridge collapse. Thank you for your report. I’m praying for the safety of every member.
SGI (Tokyo) should also send daimoku. This must be a difficult situation but when you chant, you can definitely change poison into medicine.”

100 Days of Unity

To kick off the 2nd act and the formation of our new territories, we launched a new 100 Days campaign, but this time together with our Myoho brothers! This campaign, “100 Days of Unity Together With Sensei!” will end on October 2, and will coincide with Sensei’s guidance that the first three months of any endeavor are the most crucial. Together with our new YWD and YMD leaders, Vinessa Shaw and Nathan Gauer, we want to ask every single youth division member to join this campaign and to create the kind of victories that we would be proud to share with Sensei. As area and up leaders, please share about this campaign with everyone, and let’s not let anyone miss the opportunity to be a part of this.
