    Dear Aimee,
Thank You for your inquiry regarding finding
a Study group. Right where you live, in your general neighborhood their are weekly/monthly SGI buddhist study meetings and activities.
In SGI we practice the teaching of Nichiren Buddhism, which is an Japanese-based, international Buddhist practice in 190 countries and territories throughout the world. A Part of Our practice involves chanting: Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo,which translates too: Devotion to The Mystic Law the(univeral principal) of cause & effect through the sound/voice/teaching of the Buddha’s (“The Lotus Sutra”). In SGI WE believe that all people possess the potential to be “enlightened”(happy) from within their own lives,& that No one has the right to determine for You,how they think you should/can become happy. Each person can determine for themselves, how they wish to apply THe Law of “Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo” based on your individual needs and desires in order for each person to reveal their inner-potential/identity as a Buddha. Aimee,SGI Members working together with others( ordinary people just like you) to establish lives of absolute happiness, in conjunction with helping people to overcome and Win over their personal challenges and shortcomings, based on faith. And in turn seeing a positive result through taking faith-oriented action to change any difficulty or hardship into an opportunity for each person to see their unlimited potential for personal growth and fulfillment based on this teaching or universal principal of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. Aimee, when you can go to the website:SGI-USA.org to get more information & to find other SGI Members where they are practicing throughout the United States and around the world. Aimee, Congrats! Be Happy. Ron Geary GRonGee@aol.com
